Hello there fellow earthling –

Tuesday the 19th March we will meet at the Rocketmakers offices in Bath where Hannah (Rocketmakers) will talk to us about what she learned from working with different startups. How are some doing better than others? Why might one fail while another succeeds? Are there commonalities and if so, what are they?
This will be a great interactive session where we can share our experiences and learn from one another.

GGD #72 GirlGeekDinners @Graphcore

We are being hosted by what must be Bristols biggest Unicorn this month. They’ve stepped in when our earlier sponsor had to step down due to unforeseen circumstances. Rather than let you down for a second month we did a callout to see if any other comapnies could save the date for us and Voila!! Graphcore stepped in. Think AI, electronics, Robotics and … well anything really!

Graphcore has created a completely new processor, the Intelligence Processing Unit (IPU), specifically designed for machine intelligence. The IPU’s unique architecture means developers can run current machine learning models orders of magnitude faster. More importantly, it lets AI researchers undertake entirely new types of work, not possible using current technologies, to drive the next great breakthroughs in general machine intelligence. We believe our IPU technology will become the worldwide standard for machine intelligence compute. The performance of Graphcore’s IPU is going to be transformative across all industries and sectors, whether you are a medical researcher, roboticist or autonomous car manufacturer.
