Resources

To assist you in your journey into the STEM sectors, we wanted to share with you the resources that we have found useful along the way.

Coding practice

We love Code Academy for learning to code. Whether you want to learn Html, CSS, Python or Ruby – Code Academy provides a practical learning environment for your chosen coding language.

If you want to learn how to create your own website from scratch, then have a look at Django Girls. They provide tutorials and offer free workshops on how to create your own website by using python. On their website you can also get access to an easy how to guide to get going with it yourself.

Udemy also offers great coding courses, those do cost a bit. However, they have regular sales and those courses are very inexpensive then.

Mayden Academy in Bath is great if you would like to deep dive into learning how to code and get started as a software developer. It provides you with a 16 week bootcamp and at the end of it you will be in a position to start your first job. We have had a few people going through this, so if you would like to know more, get in touch.
