She also co-organises a series of research meetups called The Research Thing, which you should come to, as there is free wine, beer and nibbles…
Smart usability testing on a budget
As businesses recognise the value of user research insights, more and more teams want to integrate regular user research and usability testing into their design process. Yet often they don’t have the time or budget for a fully-fledged usability testing programme. I’ll talk about the potential for quick and collaborative approaches to user research, and for project teams to engage directly in it, to deliver maximum value.
Maryia is a UI Engineer at Just Eat. She has a degree in banking and work experience as a bank clerk and customer support specialist in an online game company. Around three years ago she decided to change everything and become a Web Developer.
Do you really want to become a developer?
Maryia wants to talk about her journey as a self learner developer. This talk will be useful for people who want to start or switch their career and find out where to begin, what the learning options are, hear about potential pitfalls and struggles on the way.
Preet is a passionate Test Automation Engineer with over 10 years of experience, she cares deeply about building software that is fit for purpose and provides seamless user experience with minimum bugs.
At present, she is working as Principal Test Automation Engineer with Just Eat, leading QA in the consumer apps. Her role involves developing test strategies, overseeing automation testing, providing consultancy to teams for implementing test automation, defining best practices and encouraging the developers and testers to adopt those best practices for continuous improvement.
Outside work she loves traveling, listening to music and spending time with her 15-month-old son 🙂
