GGD #71 GirlGeekDinners meets Mekamon

We are being hosted by one of Bristol’s most exciting robotics companies this month. We have three speakers who will each give a walkthrough of how they got to work in tech and what bought them to Reach Robotics. There will also be an overview of Reach Robotics and what it does and we will get to meet mekamon!

Rachel Denton

I currently work as a Computer Graphics Artist at Reach Robotics, which entails a lot of the visual design work behind game assets such as special effects, scenery, and illustrations. I’ve also been involved with designing physical components for the robot, as well as the 2D animation within the app.

Before working at Reach I worked with a creative marketing Agency called gm-design, specialising in health and beauty brands. Gaming has always been a passion and interest of mine, and combined with cutting edge technology makes Reach Robotics an incredibly exciting place to work!

Megan King

I started out in gaming and technology PR, specialising in mobile gaming and being named one of Mobile Entertainment’s 30 under 30. I moved to Bristol in 2014 where I spent four years at an agency working on a more general list of clients, including Continental Tyres.

In August, I joined Reach Robotics as part of an expanded Marketing team, taking on the PR Manager role. It’s been great returning to tech, especially in-house for such a unique product.

Pin-Ju Chiang

My role is the special operation project manager, taking care of R&D project and business operation related project.
I have previous experience in development new products, new business development, quality and purchasing. Before I joined Reach Robotics I was a product manager from the Bosch automotive division.
