A couple of years back, a fantastic gal by the name of Ed Donahue was managing this fantastic group, when an irresistible job offer from Microsoft pulled her away from our wonderful state. Unable to find someone to head-up the group, GGD Boulder/Denver went into a teensy hibernation. Until now!
A few of us gals are reinvigorating the group because…
- We’re tired of being the only gals at tech events
- We’re excited to meet more women in technology
- We’re hungry for information on the industry
- And, we just want more women in tech!
In Colorado there are 1,000 amazing ways you could spend your free time – awesome networking events, Rockies games, trail rides, or even curling up on the couch with a good book. So, our goal in reinvigorating this group is to provide true value. Our events should be (1) enjoyable, (2) informative, and (3) catalyzing. We want to provide a forum for knowledge and genuine connections that help you in whatever technical venture you are currently managing (from something at your 9-5, to your dreams of building a startup).
We are industry agnostic (as is tech). We don’t care if you work at a nonprofit, a government office, a salon, a campus, a daycare or Google. We all work with tech and we can all benefit from understanding it better. If this sounds like fun, come on down!
