Wow, the Toronto Girl Geek Dinner on November 9th is close to sold out. We’re very delighted you’re joining us for the panel discussion on “The Future of Media”.

Daniela Bortolotti è nata a Bologna, dove vive tuttora. Da sempre appassionata di informatica, lavora nel campo dal 1994 come sales account presso un Provider. Dal 2008 collabora con il gruppo GGD Bologna.
Dopo due anni, due appartamenti, due mutui e un affitto, con il mio compagno abbiamo deciso di comprare una casa nuova. Quando i nostri cuori, battendo all’unisono, si sono detti «sì! facciamolo! compriamo!» è subito stato chiaro che io, cioè quella che passa dodici ore al giorno attaccata alla Rete, avrei dovuto occuparmi di stanare le occasioni. Risalendo al 2003 l’ultima trattativa per un immobile, conclusasi poi con l’acquisto del mio monolocale, ho ripreso l’argomento con una certa forma di pregiudizio, ma fortunatamente l’evoluzione è arrivata anche qui.
Dicevamo che la geek che alberga in me si è messa subito in moto, intraprendendo strade parallele e alternative al vecchio sfogliare annunci sui giornali. Molti siti però, nel tentativo di arricchire i propri contenuti, hanno aggiunto servizi su servizi, tanto che il visitatore trova tanti di quei link da non sapersi nemmeno più orientare. Per non perdere di vista l’obiettivo sento di poter consigliare questi portali:
In tutti e tre i casi, iscrivendomi gratuitamente e senza dare troppe informazioni (tutti noi sappiamo quanto riescano ad essere invasive le agenzie, quando cercano un’esclusiva), sono riuscita ad ottimizzare i parametri di ricerca in modo da ottenere un filtro rigorosissimo.
Sempre a proposito, segnalo i principali siti di annunci gratuiti:
in modo da estendere la ricerca anche alle offerte da parte di privati.
Unico -per ora- è invece idealista.it, che permette ai possessori di Iphone il download dell’applicazione necessaria per ricevere gli annunci direttamente sul cellulare e possiede il proprio canale YouTube.
Non dimenticate comunque che nel 2009 ogni agenzia, anche la più piccola, possiede un proprio sito con informazioni sulle offerte, planimetrie e foto (molte di esse oggi offrono l’utilissimo servizio si visita virtuale a 360°) pertanto basterà googlare qualche riferimento di un annuncio per trovarne la versione “estesa”.

You’ve probably been wondering why you haven’t heard from us lately… so I wanted to post a note to let you know that we have not disappeared and we are indeed still here! We are trying our best to keep all the Girl Geek Dinners free (yes, FREE!) for all attendees. In order to accomplish that, it takes a company to step up and volunteer to sponsor an event. We’ve been very lucky to have great sponsors for past events, but recently, are having a hard time to find a company who would like to sponsor one of our events. For that reason, and now that it is getting close to holiday time, we have decided to plan our next event for January and in the meantime, we’ll be working very hard to get a sponsor. We’ve also got some great speakers lined up for January that I am very excited about!
